When Wastebusters started in 2000, zero waste seemed like a mirage we were aiming for. To get there would require global shifts in production systems and values, plus local shifts in resource recovery and behaviours. Sometimes it seemed like an impossible dream. But now, it’s looking possible.
Our 2021 – 2022 Annual Report celebrates how far we have come since our inception 22 years ago and the impact we have made. None of this would be possible without the dedication and persistence of our people and wider ecosystem.
The newly established strategic direction is our road map to accelerating the change to a circular economy. In the next 3-5 years, we will become a fabulous destination, the go-to educator and thought leader for zero waste, and a resilient and mature social enterprise.
We have laid the groundwork for a zero waste district, but we cannot go it alone. Through partnerships and a shared vision, the impossible is possible.
