At the heart of our Wastebusters Repair Revolution events are the incredible volunteer fixers who bring their skills and enthusiasm to each gathering. These events are more than just opportunities to repair broken items—they are a celebration of community, connection, and shared learning.
Over the past year, our dedicated fixers have repaired over 400 items, from beloved family heirlooms to everyday essentials. Each item repaired not only reduces waste but also carries a story of connection and care. Our volunteers, many of whom return event after event, are the true heroes of this revolution, sharing their time and expertise to help others.
Our repair events are designed to be much more than a simple fix-it day. They are a welcoming hub of activity, where people of all ages come together to learn new skills, share stories, and build lasting relationships. With fun games to keep the kids entertained, delicious local food trucks, and engaging conversations, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
