On July 1st, plastic produce bags are being banned under the Government’s second phase out of hard to recycle plastics.
So we’re supporting Sustainable Queenstown to create a reusable alternative. In collaboration with TIKKI studio, they’re hosting a couple of fun, free sessions of learning new skills, meeting like minded people and choosing to refuse single use! Whether you’re a well seasoned sewer or a never-touched-a-sewing-machine beginner, everyone is welcome!
If you’d like to help make some produce bags alongside like minded legends, sign up to our sip n’ sew event on Thursday, June 29th. Materials, drinks and nibbles will be provided. RSVP here fb.me/e/A9nx1LVy
This event is part of Wastebusters’ Resourceful Communities project and is funded by the QLDC Zero Waste District Programme.
