 General Manager aka Captain Zero

Wastebusters is looking for a new Captain Zero to lead our social enterprise, operating two circular economy hubs in Wanaka and Alexandra.

You’ll have the collaborative leadership skills to inspire others to create change and contribute their best. And the business skills to manage a $3m+ turn-over and 50 employees working in recycling, reuse and waste reduction.

You will be experienced in strategy, big-picture thinking, fun team culture, budget management and business development. 100%+ commitment is required, and epic dance moves are a bonus (training available if required).

You must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand. This is a full-time position based in Wanaka, hours are negotiable

Reuse Customer Service Star – Wanaka

Wastebusters is hiring new team-members to work in our Wanaka Reuse Shop and Yard, receiving, sorting and selling second-hand stuff.

Like the rest of our epic team, you’ll be friendly, hard-working and positive. Experience in customer service, a willingness to keep learning and practical skills are essential, and you’ll have a great sense of humour and a passion for zero waste. Supervising skills are an advantage.

This is a part-time, fixed-term position. You must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand for at least six months and be able to work every weekend.
