Wanaka Wastebusters is proud to be sponsoring the Great Autumn Apple Drive & Local Food Fair, brought to you by Local Food Wanaka. Join us at Rippon Hall on Sunday 3rd April. Entry is free, koha appreciated to help cover costs.
Morning 9.30am-12.30pm: fun communal chutney-making with Pirate Pickles, and apple-pressing. Meet some new people, take home delicious chutney and juice for cider or vinegar, or make some chutney for the Foodbank.
Afternoon 1pm-4pm: Local Food Stalls (beer, herbal remedies, hot chocolate, wine-tasting, smoothie bike, Love Food Hate Waste etc) and Workshops (sourdough bread-making, seed-saving, home-brewing, fruit syrups and kombucha, fruit tree pruning). Click here for the poster with workshop times.
What to bring:
For the morning session: knife, chopping board and any jars, plastic bottles and surplus fruit you have.
For any time in the day: picnic lunch, cash for food treats, koha to help cover costs, and lots of enthusiasm for local food and preserving Wanaka’s bountiful harvest.
